Prerequisites while migrating offline EDB to Live Exchange

You can use Stellar® software products to quickly migrate mailboxes and mail items from an offline Exchange database (EDB) to an online database on a hosted on-premises Live Exchange Server. To ensure uninterrupted migration, you must ensure the following pre-requisites.

1. The computer on which you are running Stellar application must be part of the same domain as of your Destination Exchange Server.

2. You must logon to the domain using Administrator/ User having Administrator Rights.

3. You must configure the Outlook profile using the account of which the Administrator/User has logged on to the system.

4. Your Destination Exchange Server should have all the mailboxes already created in the alternate mailbox store before starting the export process. You can use Dial Tone Recovery process for the same.

5. All the mailbox on Destination Exchange Server in which you want to export the data should have Admin rights.

6. Once you have given the admin rights to all the mailboxes they will sync into outlook.

7. The server version selected while logging to Live Exchange Server should be similar to that of the system on domain.

Additionally, you need to provide Mailboxes delegation to all the mailboxes via Exchange Control Panel (ECP).
