Stellar Repair for Excel software gives you an option to preview the repaired Excel (XLS and XLSX) file before saving it to the location of your choice. However, the demo version of the software only allows you to preview the repaired files but does not save them.
If you wish to see the preview of a repaired Excel file with the >demo version of the software, you would have to first repair the damaged file by using the Scan feature and then preview the repaired Excel file by giving a right-click on it, which is present under the tree in the left pane of the software’s interface. After you have downloaded and installed the demo version of the software, run it and execute as mentioned in the steps that have been stated below:

Stellar Repair for Excel repairs the file in the same manner as shown in the preview window. However, in you case file is severely damaged due to which you are getting this message.
Please let us know the below mentioned details to analyze the situation:
1. Reason of the corruption of the Excel file.
2. Version of the Microsoft Office you are using:
3. Version of the Microsoft Office in which the Excel file was originally created:
Can't open Excel files and Stellar won't repair them. Hard drive had Windows 10 reinstalled and retreived Excel files using Easeus Data Recovery. Files created using Office 2013 and trying to open them with Office Professional 2016. Any way I can get some of the data out of them?

You may try the demo version and check if preview is shown. Also, check the log report shown at the bottom of the software.
In case preview is not shown it means files are severely corrupted and beyond repairing.
