You are trying to save the recovered data on the same media from where you are recovering it. Please choose another location to save the files and software will not give you this error anymore.
Software does not allow you to save the recovered files on the same drive from where you are recovering it as it may lead to overwritten activity. Once overwritten activity is performed then data cannot be recovered by any means.

nowhere on your site or during the purchase of your product, did it explain the I would have to connect to a separate drive to retrieve my Data....You just took the Money and we the customer find out once we enter our code ....that we have to use a separate Drive.....That's Fraudulent......Please have someone email me back ASAP....I will be expecting a full refund

if save my files to a external drive, can i then move those files to the drive they were deleted from without corrupting or overwriting them?

Yes, you may move the files to the same drive if you are able to open them on an external drive. It may lead to overwritten activity.

It was not mentioned anywhere that files couldn't be recovered if on the same drive. A simple USB transaction could have been done using any software, but Stellar made it seem like it was easier. Can I recover files and place them to my dropbox?

I have the same issue as the above. YOU SHOULD CLEARLY EXPLAIN BEFORE TAKING MY MONEY. It is easy to set up a separate folder on any Hard Drive and have the files saved to that folder. Then a user can simply move files as and where they wish. FRAUD!

User needs to save recovered data on different drive/partition. After that, they can copy it on any desired location.
