Steps to recover deleted files from startup disk are as follows:
Select
- Launch Stellar Data Recovery for Mac and select the type of files you need to recover.
- Click Next, then select Macintosh HD, the startup disk, wherein you've deleted the files.
- Click Scan. In the message box, click Next. Then, click Next again.
- In System Extension Blocked dialog, click Open Security Preferences.
- In Security & Privacy, click the Lock icon, enter the admin password, and click Unlock.
- Click Allow to load the Stellar Data Recovery extension. Click the Lock icon again.
- Close the Security & Privacy window. Next, click Continue in the message. Read More.
Scan
- Toggle on the Deep Scan switch and click Scan.
- After the scan is over, click the Deleted List tab to find permanently deleted files.
Recover
- Preview the recoverable files and select the ones you need to recover.
- Click Recover, then click Browse to provide the drive location to save files.
- Click Save to recover deleted files on Mac running on macOS Monterey or earlier.
